I have always struggled with genera, where the music 'fits'. To offer a description of these works would prevent them speaking for themselves. They reflect 'us', the individual, both complex and simple, the inner, and outer state. Hard to describe but has to be felt to be understood.

My only request of the listener is to choose a quiet moment, an intimate moment where the head and heart (and spirit) is free to journey wherever your thoughts take you, hopefully one of these pieces will reflect that thought and accompany you in finding your Still Point Of The Turning World.

Instrumental guitar music written by Charlie James.

Classical, Steel Strung, Bronze Wound Acoustic or Electric, these guitars are all here. This collection will be released as a hard copy CD when there are 10 tracks (10th on the way very soon). BBC Radio3 kindly gave the track To Return its premier outing and included the piece as one of the Compositional Highlights of 2023 calling it 'the music of our times', many thanks! and since then Radio 3 has played Note To Self and Radio 4 The Butterfly's Bow, Shadow's Song, As Futures Pass and various works by Bach and Schubert. The works have all aired internationally and continue to do so, for which I am sincerely grateful.
